We're fortunate to have the most gracious hosts this evening. We've had shrimp off the barby, garlic bruschetta, and now we're breaking into the home grown eggs from the onsite chicken farm. Some of the eggs are green. Check them out. That's our host in the background.

After a week of hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking and sailing (basically all the "ings"), it's time to go home. The boys came away with a victory in yesterday's camp-wide "Aquacade" competition and a hand painted trophy for the Troop. Final breakfast below.

The adults took a seven mile jaunt on mountain bikes to the nearest town, Two Harbors, which is named because it's located at the isthmus of Catalina Island and has two harbors: one on the ocean side, the other pointed at the mainland. Fire road with moderate hills. Had lunch not from the camp cafeteria and headed back to camp. Bought beef jerky for the boys.

With nothing more than canoe paddles, rope, water jugs and rocks, the dads turned a small tarp into a shelter from the blazing sun. As of this writing, it's holding strong, despite considerable breeze on Parson's Beach, Catalina Island. Note the detail.
