Improvised Shade Structure = Boy Scout Dad ingenuity

With nothing more than canoe paddles, rope, water jugs and rocks, the dads turned a small tarp into a shelter from the blazing sun. As of this writing, it's holding strong, despite considerable breeze on Parson's Beach, Catalina Island. Note the detail.
